Interior Design

Your words deserve an interior that feels like the book.

Open book on white surface showing a page titled 'Physiological Empowerment' with scriptural references and prompts for reflection and prayer.

A book's interior is more than words on a page. Typography, margins, chapter openings, spacing, trim size, and all the small details shape how a reader moves through your work.

I'll spend time with your manuscript before I design it, getting to know its voice, structure, and rhythm. Then I'll build an interior that feels intentional from the first page to the last.

Starting at $1,350

Designed around your manuscript

Every book has a different rhythm. A devotional shouldn't feel like a memoir. A collection of essays shouldn't feel like a textbook. And a book with a strong visual voice shouldn't be forced into a template.

Your interior includes

  • Manuscript review and creative direction

  • Custom typography and font selection

  • Trim size and page architecture

  • Chapter and section design

  • Running heads, page numbers, and other navigational elements

  • Custom treatment of pull quotes, lists, or other recurring elements as needed

  • Two initial design directions

  • Interior typesetting and layout

  • Revisions to the selected direction

  • Print-ready interior files

  • Physical proof review

From manuscript to finished page

01 — I read.
Before I begin designing, I spend time with your manuscript. I want to understand what you're saying and how the book moves.

02 — We explore.
I'll develop an interior direction and welcome feedback based on your vision for your story.

03 — We refine.
Once we've chosen a direction, I'll design the full interior and refine the details across the book.

04 — We prepare.
Your finished interior will be prepared for print, with careful attention to the details that matter.

Open book spread on a white surface, featuring pages with text and a partially visible gray circle on the left page.

This is for you if...

You already have a cover you love and want an interior that feels equally considered.

You care about how your book feels in a reader's hands—not just whether the text technically fits on the page.

You want a designer who will make decisions based on your manuscript rather than dropping it into a pre-made template.

A note on pricing

Interior design begins at $1,350. Final pricing depends on manuscript length and complexity. Books with extensive images, tables, footnotes, multiple recurring design elements, or other specialized formatting may require a custom quote.
